Emkay Corporation

Emkay Corporation operates out of shops 18 and 19 in Poornima Tower. You can find us at 397 Shankar Sheth Road. It's a fairly well-known building in this part of the city, so most people don't have trouble finding us. We’ve been in these two units for a good while. Having two shops side by side gives us enough room to keep our stock and still have a place to sit down for a break. The road outside is always moving, so there is plenty of noise and energy around. We mostly deal with local customers and some businesses that have been coming to us for many years. It’s not a big corporate operation by any means. It is just a few of us making sure the inventory is right and the customers get what they need on time. We spend a lot of time counting items and updating the paper ledgers. The lighting in the back of the shop is a bit dim, but we know where everything is kept. Sometimes the rain makes it a bit damp near the entrance, but we manage with a mop. We aren’t interested in being the biggest company around. We just want to make sure the doors stay open and the work gets done properly. Shankar Sheth Road is a good place to be because everything we need is close by. We drink a lot of tea while we wait for deliveries to arrive. It’s basic, honest work. Most people who come in know us by our first names. That's how we like to keep things.
