Out in the Gultekdi Industrial Area, you’ll find us at 427/46. Electrotech is just a regular shop in a row of many others. The area is always full of trucks and people moving things around. Our space is pretty basic. We have some workbenches, a few shelves for components, and an old desk where the bills get paid. It’s not the kind of place that gets featured in a magazine. There’s a layer of fine dust on everything no matter how much we sweep. We spend our hours mostly wired up to projects or looking through circuit boards. It’s quiet work for the most part, except for the occasional sound of a drill or someone dropping a heavy box. We don't have a big team, just a few of us who know the routine. The coffee pot is almost always empty because we drink it faster than we can make it. Sometimes the power flickers when the weather is bad, and we all just take a break until it comes back. We don't have any polished slogans or mission statements taped to the walls. We just have a list of things to finish by Friday. It’s a straightforward life in an industrial zone. We like it that way because we can just focus on the task. The gate is a bit rusty and makes a noise when you slide it open. It’s just our little corner of the world.
