Electro Trades is right here at 1339, Sadashiv Peth. If the front door is open, you can usually hear the bells and the prayers from Chimnya Ganpati nearby. We are sitting right opposite Godbole Hospital. It’s a busy spot, for sure. There are people coming for the temple and others visiting the hospital all day long. Then you have the Sahasrabudhe Datta Mandir just around the corner too. Our shop is full of wires, switches, and all kinds of electrical parts. It’s a bit cramped because we try to keep everything on hand. Sometimes finding a specific fuse takes a minute because the shelves are so full. We don't have a fancy computer system for everything; we mostly just know where things are from memory. It’s a family-run feel here. My father used to sit in the same chair I do now. We see a lot of regular faces from the neighborhood. Some people just stop in to say hello on their way to the hospital or the temple. The street outside is narrow and can get quite jammed with scooters. We just take it slow. If you need a bulb or a wire, we just get it for you. There is no corporate talk here. We just know our parts and we like being part of Sadashiv Peth. It’s our home and we've been looking after the electrical needs of the locals for as long as I can remember.
