About Electrical Engineer – Metals & Minerals in Pune
I’m an electrical engineer and I’m based in Idc Colony, which is right in the Jayadev Vihar area of Bhubaneswar, Orissa. Jayadev Vihar is a pretty central spot, so I end up traveling all over the city from here. IDC Colony is a decent place to work from, and I’ve been here long enough that I know most of the shortcuts to get around the traffic. My day-to-day life is mostly filled with checking circuits, fixing faulty wiring, and making sure the electrical setups in various buildings are running correctly. I don’t have a big team or a fancy office with a receptionist. It is just me and my equipment. Bhubaneswar can get very humid, which isn't great when you are working with electrical panels in small rooms, but you just deal with it. I get a lot of my work from people who live in the colony or nearby neighborhoods like Nayapalli. It’s more of a community thing than a big business. I like the fact that I can just walk down the street and someone will stop me to ask about a light fixture or a tripping breaker. It makes the work feel more personal. I try to keep things simple and just focus on getting the electricity sorted out without any unnecessary talk. It is a steady way to make a living and it keeps me pretty busy throughout the week. There is always something that needs fixing around here, which is fine by me.
