Electrical Engineer

I’m an electrical engineer working out of the Hinjewadi area in Pune. If you know Pune at all, you know Hinjewadi is basically the hub for everything technical and industrial these days. I’ve been situated here for a good amount of time, watching all the big IT parks and factories go up. My work is a bit different from the office jobs most people have around here; I’m the one crawling under desks or looking into main power rooms when the electricity isn't behaving. It’s a busy spot to be in, and the traffic getting in and out of Hinjewadi can be a real nightmare if you don’t time it right. I usually start my day pretty early to beat the worst of the rush. My setup is fairly basic because I spend most of my time out at various locations anyway. I don’t go for any of the corporate polish you see in the big companies nearby. I’m just a guy with a bag of tools and a lot of experience dealing with electrical systems. Sometimes the work is repetitive, but every now and then I get a problem that really makes me stop and think. That’s the part of the job I actually like. Most of my clients are local businesses or people who just need someone reliable to come and take a look at their wiring without making it a huge production. It’s practical, everyday work and it keeps me grounded in this fast-moving city.
