Ekata Masik Foundation

We are over at Natu Baug in the Shukrawar Peth area of Pune. It’s a busy spot, mostly old buildings and narrow lanes where everyone knows each other. Our office is at house number 1365. It isn't a huge place, just a couple of rooms where we get our work done every day. Sometimes the traffic outside gets a bit loud, especially in the evenings when people are heading home, but we’ve gotten used to it. We started this because we wanted to do something useful right here in the city. Most of us grew up around here or have lived in Pune for a long time. There is always a lot of tea drinking while we figure out what needs to be finished next. We don't really have a big fancy reception or anything like that. People just drop by when they need to talk. Sometimes the internet acts up, or the power goes for a bit, but that's just how it is in this part of town. We keep our files in old metal cupboards and try to stay organized as much as we can. It’s a simple setup. We don't spend money on flashy signs. Just a small team trying to keep things moving. We usually close up when the street lights come on. It feels good to be working in a place with so much history around us. It is what it is, and we just keep pushing forward with the work we have at hand.
