Eaton Technologies Pvt. Ltd., Pune

Eaton Technologies Pvt. Ltd. has this office in Pune, but it’s not in some big IT park. We are located in Flat No. 707, A Wing of the Shilpa Housing Society. It’s right near MIT Engineering College, just off Paud Road in Kothrud. Working out of a housing society gives it a very different feel than a glass building. You see neighbors walking their dogs or students heading to class while we’re heading in to work on tech stuff. It’s a bit cramped sometimes with all the hardware and desks, but it works for us. Kothrud is a nice area with lots of trees and good places to eat nearby. We do a lot of technical work, the kind of stuff that requires a lot of concentration and long hours. Since we are near the college, there’s always a lot of young energy around. Our office is pretty casual. We don't wear ties or anything like that. Sometimes we have meetings on the balcony just to get some fresh air. It’s a bit of a climb if the lift is acting up, but that doesn't happen too often. We’ve been here for a while and the society members are used to us being around. It’s just a group of people doing tech work in a residential setting, which keeps things feeling a bit more like home and less like a factory.
