Our agency is based at 18, Ganga Lahari Society in Karve Nagar, Pune. It’s a quiet enough spot compared to the main roads. We focus on construction quality rating, which means we spend a lot of time looking at concrete and building standards. It’s not the most exciting job for everyone, but it’s what we do here in Maharashtra. The office is inside a residential society, so it feels more like a home than a stiff office building. We have our testing tools and our files spread out on the tables. Most days, someone is out at a site checking on the work being done, while another person stays back to write up the notes. We don't use big words or fancy reports if we don't have to. We just tell it like it is regarding the quality we see. People come to us when they want an honest look at their construction project. We’ve been in Karve Nagar for a while now and the locals know us. It’s a small group of us, and we take the work seriously without making a big fuss about it. We just want to make sure the buildings are being put together the right way. There’s a lot of paperwork and sometimes the technical side gets complicated, but we stick with it until the rating is done properly.
