Dollar Constructions

The office is on Weilesly Road, at S No 24. It’s an old building, and we have been here for a long time. The name Dollar Constructions was something my father came up with, and we just kept it because everyone in the area knows us by it now. We don't really have a fancy showroom or anything like that. If you come by, you’ll probably see stacks of tiles or bags of lime sitting in the corner. Most of our work happens out on the dusty sites where things are actually being built. Weilesly Road is always noisy, so we usually keep the windows shut, but it still gets quite hot inside during the summer months. We have a small team, and we all do a bit of everything. I might be looking at accounts in the morning and then helping unload a truck in the afternoon. It’s just how we operate. We don’t have any big corporate goals or things like that. We just try to finish one job before starting the next one. Sometimes things get delayed because the labor doesn't show up or the weather turns bad, but that is just part of the construction business. We don't do much in the way of marketing. Most of our work comes from people who have seen our signs on other buildings. It’s a basic operation, but it keeps us busy every day of the week.
