Down here in Devgad, things move a bit differently than they do in the big cities. Dlf Ltd is located right here, and we’ve been part of the landscape for some time. It’s a quieter place, which we don't mind at all. The pace is a bit more relaxed, but we still have plenty to do every day. Our office is just a plain building where we handle our business. We don't have any big signs or flashing lights. People in Devgad mostly know where we are if they need us. We deal with the local requirements and keep our records straight. It’s a lot of manual work sometimes, and the internet can be a bit spotty when the weather turns, but we manage. We aren't looking to change the world or anything like that. We just want to do our jobs and go home to our families at the end of the day. The office has that old-school feel to it. We have wooden desks and a lot of paper around. Sometimes it gets a bit dusty, but we clean it up when we have a spare moment. It’s just a small team of us here. We know each other well and we know the town. Being in Devgad means we’re away from the rush of places like Mumbai, and that’s fine by us. We’ve seen the seasons change from this window many times. The rains here can be something else, making everything green but also a bit damp inside. We just keep our files tucked away and keep going.
