Our office is tucked into the Elite Empire building over in Balewadi, Pune. It’s at C-4, number 41. If you know the area near S.No 7&8, we’re right around there. It’s a pretty busy part of town these days with all the new buildings coming up. Working at DHL Express here means we see a lot of vans coming and going. The office itself is full of clipboards, scanners, and people trying to figure out where a specific package has gotten to. It’s not always perfectly quiet; there’s usually someone shouting across the room about a delivery update or a zip code. We have a small corner for water and tea, which is where most of the gossip happens. Pune weather is usually decent, so we often leave the windows open when it’s not too dusty outside. The desks are crowded with papers and half-empty water bottles. We aren't trying to be anything fancy. We just want to get the boxes moved. It’s a lot of logistics and repetitive work, but it’s what we do. Sometimes the software we use freezes up right when we’re in a hurry, and you’ll hear a few frustrated sighs. But we just restart and keep going. We’ve been in this spot for a while now and most of the delivery drivers know the route by heart. It’s just a normal workplace with people trying to get through their to-do lists before the sun goes down.
