Dhenugovind Welfare Foundation

Our foundation is located on the 7th floor of the D Wing in Phase 3 of Nirmal Township. We are in Flat Number 26. Hadapsar is a busy part of Pune, and being up on the 7th floor gives us a bit of a view of the surrounding apartments and the horizon. Dhenugovind Welfare Foundation is a small operation. We started this because we saw things in the community that needed a bit of attention. It is a residential area, so it is fairly quiet during the day when everyone is at work. We use the living room area of the flat as our main office space. There is a small balcony where we sometimes take our breaks and talk about what needs to be done next. We do not have a staff of hundreds. It is mostly just family and a few dedicated neighbors who help out. We keep track of everything in handwritten ledgers mostly, though we do have one old computer that works when it wants to. Pune is growing so fast, and Hadapsar is right in the middle of it. We just want to make sure the welfare side of things is not forgotten as more buildings go up. It is simple work, like helping people with their paperwork or organizing local drives. We do not need much space to do that, just a place to sit and some time to listen.
