Umesh Nursery

Umesh Nursery is situated at Sr No. 86 and 87 along the Dhanori Lohegaon Road. We have a good amount of land here in Dhanori where we grow all sorts of things. It’s not like an office job at all. We spend most of our time outside in the dirt. Whether it’s raining or the sun is beating down, there is always something that needs to be planted or pruned. The Dhanori Lohegaon Road is usually busy with people driving by, and some of them stop in to see what we have in stock. We don't have a fancy showroom. Everything is just out there in the fields or under the shade nets. Our hands are usually dirty and our boots are always muddy. That’s just how it is when you run a nursery. We’ve been at this location for a long time and we know the soil here pretty well. There isn't any complicated business strategy. We just grow things and hope they do well. It takes a lot of patience to wait for plants to be ready for people to take home. We don't have a big staff, so it’s a lot of physical work for everyone involved. Some days are long, especially during the planting season. We just enjoy being outside and seeing things grow from small seeds. It’s a simple life out here in Dhanori, and we wouldn't have it any other way.
