Design Praxis

You can find us at C8 in the Kothrud GIDC Estate. It’s an industrial sort of area, which suits us just fine because we make a fair amount of noise ourselves. Our space is more of a workshop than a fancy design studio. We’ve got tools scattered around and plenty of dust on the workbenches from various projects we have going on. Design Praxis has been operating out of Kothrud for several years now. We don’t go in for much decoration; the walls are mostly bare except for some technical drawings we need to reference. The air in the estate can be a bit heavy with the smell of machinery or grease from the neighbors, but you stop noticing it after a while. We aren't the type to give long speeches about our vision or mission. Instead, we just take the measurements, look at the materials, and try to make something that actually works for the person who asked for it. Sometimes things don’t go exactly as planned, and we have to scrap a prototype and start over again. That’s just part of the process when you're actually building things. We don’t have a marketing team or anyone to write fancy brochures for us. It’s just a few of us who know how to use our hands and our heads. If you come by C8, don't expect a reception desk. Just knock on the big metal door and someone will eventually hear you over the noise of the machinery.
