Finding us on the 9th Cross of K K Lane in Kothrud can be a little tricky if you are not from around this neighborhood. It is a tucked-away spot, which is actually nice because it keeps things a bit quieter for the drawing work we do. We have been in this part of Kothrud for a while now. The office isn't anything special to look at, just a place where we keep the computers and the reference books. We spend hours looking at those 9th Cross views and sketching out ideas for people’s homes or shops. It is a lot of back and forth. You draw something, you show it, then you change half of it because the budget changed or someone had a new idea. That is just the nature of the business. We do not use big words to describe what we do. It is about making a room work for the people who live in it. There is always a pot of coffee going and a lot of talk about materials. We have samples of stone and paint everywhere. Sometimes it feels like we are living in a warehouse instead of an office. The lane outside is usually busy with neighbors and delivery bikes. We are just part of the local fabric here. It is a job that involves a lot of sitting but also a lot of running around to different sites. We just keep at it, one drawing at a time.
