Deshmukh Maharaj Foundation

We're based in Rasta Peth, right here in Pune. Our office is actually Flat Number 4 in the Guru Krupa Apartment building at number 79. It’s a pretty easy landmark because the Blind School is right nearby. If you’ve been around this part of Pune, you know it can get pretty crowded and noisy with the traffic and the markets. We’ve been at this spot for a while now. The apartment isn't very large, but it’s enough for what the Deshmukh Maharaj Foundation needs to do. We have some desks pushed against the walls and a lot of files stacked up in the corners. It’s a bit lived-in, honestly. We don’t have a receptionist or a waiting room with magazines. Usually, you just knock on the door and someone lets you in. We spend our days answering calls and trying to organize things or help people who come by. The neighbors in Guru Krupa are used to us by now. Sometimes the building elevator is a bit cranky, so we just take the stairs to the first floor. It’s a busy neighborhood, 411011, with lots of small shops and people walking around. We like being in the heart of the city like this. It feels more real than some isolated office park. We’re just a small group of people trying to keep things running smoothly without making too much of a fuss.
