Delta Work Wear is based on the 3rd floor of S.P. Heigh in Kasarwadi. We are not in one of those shiny new glass buildings you see in the city. It is a practical space for a very practical business. We make the kind of clothes that people wear when they have to do real work—uniforms, heavy-duty trousers, and overalls. Since we are on the third floor, we get a decent breeze through the windows, which helps when all the sewing machines are running at once. It is a noisy environment, and there is always a bit of lint or scrap fabric on the floor, no matter how often we sweep up. We do not have a marketing department or people who spend all day in meetings. We’re mostly just tailors, cutters, and the staff who handle the shipping and orders. We spend our time looking at rolls of tough fabric and making sure the seams are reinforced. We know that our customers need clothes that will not fall apart after a few days on a job site. We do not do corporate retreats or big presentations. We just sit at our machines or our desks and get the orders finished. Sometimes we run out of a specific button or thread and have to go hunting for more. It is a real business with real daily hiccups. We like being in Kasarwadi and just focusing on the sewing.
