DEGROSS CHIFFON PRIVATE LIMITED

Degross Chiffon is based in Lohagaon, Pune. We are in flat B601 at Skyways Sereno, which is part of survey number 297/1. It’s near the Dy Patil College, so there are always students walking around the area. Running a chiffon business from a flat has its challenges. We have fabric everywhere. Chiffon is very light and slippery, so it ends up all over the floor if we aren't careful. We spend a lot of time checking the material for snags or weird dye marks. It’s a quiet building mostly, but we have deliveries coming in and out quite often. The view from the sixth floor is okay, but we are usually too busy to look out the window. We started this because we know a lot about these types of fabrics. It’s not a huge warehouse, just our working space where we handle the orders. Sometimes the logistics of getting things delivered to a residential-style building is a pain. We have to meet the drivers downstairs at the gate. We don't have a fancy showroom. If you came here, you'd just see us with scissors and measuring tapes. We do our own bookkeeping and packing. It’s a lot for a small group, but we prefer doing it ourselves. We just focus on getting the fabric out to the people who bought it. Lohagaon is a bit far out from the main city, but it works for us.
