Deepjyoti Women Care Foundation

We are located in the Dhankawadi area of Pune. Our office is in the Royal Arcade Society, A-Wing, flat number 20. We are quite close to the Shankar Maharaj Math, which is a well-known landmark around here. The society is usually busy with families and kids. Our space is modest. We have a couple of rooms where we sit and handle things for the Deepjyoti Women Care Foundation. It’s mostly local women who come by to talk or get some help with their issues. We try to keep things comfortable so nobody feels nervous when they walk in. There are no big signs or fancy lights. Just a small nameplate on the door in Pune-411043. We spend a lot of time on the phone or writing things down in ledgers. Pune can be quite beautiful, especially with the hills nearby, but we are mostly focused on the work inside these walls. We’ve got a small kettle for tea and a few chairs for guests. It’s a simple setup in Maharashtra. We are just ordinary people trying to do something useful for the women in this part of town. Sometimes it’s a bit disorganized because we have a lot to do and not many hands to do it. But we manage. We aren't a big corporation. We are just part of the neighborhood, and we try to treat everyone well. We've been here for a good while and know the local rhythm well. We just keep our heads down and work.
