The office for Deepak Mandke Arechitect is tucked away in Revenue Colony in Shivaji Nagar. It’s at 1170-28, a quiet spot compared to the main roads nearby. We’ve been in this area for quite some time now. The building is an older one, which gives it a bit of character that you don't find in the newer glass towers. Inside, it’s mostly just rows of shelves with old project files and desks covered in tracing paper and pens. We don't really have a lobby, just a small area where people can wait if we’re busy. The trees outside provide some nice shade, which keeps the office from getting too hot in the afternoons. We aren't big on marketing or trying to sound like a giant firm. It’s just a small practice where we take our work seriously but keep the atmosphere pretty relaxed. We usually have the radio playing quietly in the background while we work. Shivaji Nagar is a great place to be because everything is close by, though the parking can be a real headache sometimes. We just do things the way they’ve always been done, focusing on the details of the drawings and making sure the figures are right. It’s a steady pace of work here. We aren't in a rush to be the biggest, we just want to get things finished properly for the people who come to see us.
