Deccan Construction

We are based at No. 123 in Kate Estate, over in Sadguru Nagar. It is a straightforward location for a construction outfit. We do not have a big glass building or a fancy showroom for people to walk through. Our place is more of a hub where we keep our tools, some bags of cement, and the plans for whatever we are building at the time. Sadguru Nagar is a decent area, and we have been working around here long enough to know the local suppliers and the way the ground is. Most of our day is spent out on the actual sites, so the office is often quiet during the middle of the day. We come back in the evenings to sort out the accounts and plan for the next morning. It is dusty work and it can be very tiring when the sun is out, but that is the nature of the job. We have a small staff and we all know each other well. There is no hierarchy here where people are afraid to speak up; we just talk plainly and get the tasks finished. The estate where we are located has a lot of other small businesses, so there is always someone to grab a tea with or talk about the weather. We focus on the practical side of building things, making sure the walls are straight and the materials are solid. It is basic, hard work.
