Deal Mart

Our store, Deal Mart, is located right in Chaudhary Heights, which is pretty easy to find since it’s directly opposite the Vanas Gas Pump on the Mumbai-Banglore Highway in Warje. Being so close to the highway means we get a lot of people just stopping by on their way out of the city, along with our regulars who live right here in the neighborhood. The shop isn't massive, but we try to keep it stocked with the things people actually need every day. It gets a bit dusty because of the road, so we are constantly wiping down the shelves and sweeping the floor. There is always a lot of noise from the trucks passing by outside, but after a while, you just stop noticing it. We don’t have a lot of staff, so you will usually see the same two or three faces every time you walk in. We aren't trying to compete with the giant malls; we just want to provide a place where you can get your shopping done without a lot of hassle. Sometimes a delivery truck comes late and we have to scramble to get everything off the curb, but that’s just part of running a shop. We enjoy chatting with the neighbors and hearing about what’s going on in Warje. It’s a practical little business, and we are happy to be a part of the local community here by the highway.
