Shikhar Light Solution

Our shop is at No. 267 Budhwar Peth, right inside Datta Market on the 1st floor. If you’ve ever been to this part of town, you know it is always crowded and there is a lot of noise from the street below. We are situated right next to the Shrikrishna Talkies, so we can usually hear the music or the crowds from the cinema when a big movie is playing. The shop itself is packed from floor to ceiling with all kinds of lights, wires, and spare parts. It’s a bit of a squeeze to get around sometimes, but we know exactly where everything is kept. Most of our day is spent helping people figure out what kind of bulb they need or testing out wires to make sure they aren't faulty. It’s a lot of standing around and talking to customers who come in from all over the city. We don't have a fancy website or anything like that; we just rely on being here every day and knowing our stock. Sometimes the market gets so busy you can hardly move, but we just keep the shop open and wait for the next person to walk up the stairs. It’s a bit dusty and the light in the hallway is usually flickering, but it’s a living and we’ve been doing it this way for years. We just try to keep things simple and help folks out.
