Our factory is at Plot 63 in the Hadapsar Industrial Estate. It is right in the heart of the industrial area, so there is always a lot of noise and movement around us. We have been here for a long time, making all kinds of industrial parts like handles and hinges. It is a large space but it feels small because of all the machinery and the crates of finished goods waiting to be shipped out. We don’t have a fancy reception area or anything like that. You just walk in and you are right there where the work happens. The staff is mostly local people who have been with us for a long time. We know each other well and we just get on with the tasks. Some days the machines give us trouble, but we know how to fix them. We do not spend money on big ads. We just make sure the parts we produce are strong and fit where they are supposed to go. Hadapsar can be a bit of a trek to get to because of the traffic, but once you are here, it is a good community of makers. We take our tea together in the afternoons and talk about the day's work. It is a straightforward business. We make the parts, we pack them up, and we send them to the people who need them.
