Darshan Indani Architect

I work out of a space in Erandwane, specifically at 4/106/113. It is an older building that has a lot of character, even if the pipes are a bit noisy sometimes. The office is mostly filled with big sheets of paper and various pens that I keep losing under piles of blueprints. I have been in this area for quite a while, so I know the local tea stall owners and the guys at the stationery shop pretty well. It is just me and a couple of others here most days. We do not have a fancy lobby or a secretary to greet people. If the phone rings, I usually pick it up myself. The desk is always covered in pencils and rulers, and there is usually a half-empty cup of cold tea sitting somewhere nearby. I prefer it this way because everything I need is within reach. The lighting is not great in the evenings, so I have a few extra lamps scattered around. People stop by to talk about their houses or just to see how a project is coming along. We do not use a lot of technical jargon or try to sound like a big firm. It is just a straightforward place where we draw things and try to make them work in the real world. The commute is easy, and the neighborhood is familiar, which makes the long hours a bit more bearable for us.
