Dakshta Indian Road Safety Foundation

You can find us at Sno 220/1/52 in Digambar Colony. We are located in the Disha Apartment, which is out in Haveli, Fursungi. It’s a bit further out than some people like to travel, but it suits us just fine. The Dakshta Indian Road Safety Foundation operates from this spot. It’s more of a residential area, so it’s actually quite peaceful compared to the main city roads. We have a small office on the ground floor. The walls are a bit bare, and the furniture is mostly stuff we’ve gathered over the years. It doesn't look like a corporate headquarters, because it isn't one. It’s just where we gather to plan things out and keep our records. There is a small garden area nearby where we sometimes sit if the weather is nice and the office feels too cramped. Usually, there are only two or three of us here at any given time. We spend a lot of time looking at maps and talking about different routes around the area. The walk from the main road isn't too bad, though it can get a bit dusty when the wind picks up. We’ve had a few neighbors ask us what we do, and we just say we're busy with some road safety stuff. It’s a slow process, but being here in Fursungi gives us a good perspective on how things are outside the big city hubs. It's quiet and we get things done.
