Our office is at Flat No 304 in the Muktai Apartment, which is right opposite Ashish Garden in the Gananjay Society in Kothrud, Pune. It’s a nice enough spot in a fairly quiet part of the city. D S Kulkarni Developers Ltd has its base here, and we’ve been working from this flat for some time. It’s a bit different from a big commercial building, but it suits us just fine. We have our meetings here and handle all the planning for our development projects. Kothrud is a well-known area in Pune, and being near Ashish Garden makes it easy to give people directions. Most of our day is spent on the phone or looking at site layouts. We don’t really have a corporate vibe. It’s more like a small group of people working together to get things built. Sometimes it gets a bit loud when everyone is talking at once, but we get through the work. We deal with all the usual headaches of development, like getting the right approvals and making sure the materials show up on time. It isn't always glamorous, and there’s usually some dust on our shoes. We don't try to make it sound like something it isn't. We just take the projects we have and try to do a decent job with them. Every day brings something new, whether it’s a problem with a drain or a delay with the masonry. We just keep moving.
