We operate out of the 411036 area of Pune, which is a part of the city that has seen a lot of growth lately. It’s a mix of industrial spots and new housing developments, so there is always construction noise somewhere in the distance. Our daily life at Cummins India Ltd involves getting through the commute, which can be quite a struggle depending on which bridge is under repair that week. The office itself is pretty straightforward, just a large room with several desks and a lot of computers humming away. We don’t have a receptionist or a waiting lounge; if you walk in, you’re likely to just see someone hunched over a keyboard. We’ve been here in Maharashtra for quite a long time now, and we’ve seen the city change from a quiet pensioner’s paradise into this busy hub. The weather is usually decent, but those monsoon months really slow everything down when the roads start to flood. We keep a stash of umbrellas by the door for anyone who needs to run out for lunch. There isn't much to say about our decor because it’s mostly just functional. We have a small pantry where we make our own coffee and share snacks. It’s a decent place to spend the day, and we all get along well enough. We focus on getting the work done so we can get home to our families.
