Comptek

You can find Comptek over in Sadashiv Peth, at 1205, Shiv Parvati in Tilak Wadi. It’s a typical tech spot, full of old monitors, tangled cables, and parts we might need someday. The area is quite traditional, but we bring a bit of the modern stuff into it. We spend most of our time staring at screens or taking apart computers to see why they stopped working. It’s dusty work, and our hands are usually a bit grubby from the insides of machines. We’ve been in this part of town for a long time, and we’ve seen the technology change from those big boxy computers to the slim laptops everyone has now. Our shop isn't shiny or minimalist. It’s cluttered and lived-in. We don't have a receptionist; you usually just walk in and find one of us hunched over a desk. We talk shop with the students and office workers who come in when their gear breaks down. Sometimes a repair takes longer than we thought, and we have to explain that to a frustrated customer, but we try to be as straight as we can. Sadashiv Peth is a great place to be, with plenty of good food nearby when we need a break. It’s just a small tech business trying to keep things running for the neighborhood. We don't need much more than a good soldering iron and some steady work to keep us happy.
