You can find Shri Maruti Udyog over in the D1-Block of MIDC Chinchwad, specifically at Plot No. 15 B/4. This is a heavy industrial area, so there is always the sound of sirens, trucks, and machinery in the background. Our unit is a straightforward place. We handle a lot of metal work and fabrication. The air inside is usually thick with the smell of welding and burnt metal. We have a small crew of guys who have been working the machines for a long time. They know how each one sounds and when something is about to go wrong. We do not have a lobby or a receptionist. If you walk in, you are likely to meet someone holding a wrench or wearing a welding mask. The office is just a corner of the main floor partitioned off with some glass. It is dusty, and the files are usually covered in a thin layer of grime. We work long hours when a big order comes in, and the fans never seem to be fast enough. Chinchwad MIDC is a maze, but we have been on this plot for enough time that most delivery drivers know us. We focus on getting the dimensions right and making sure the parts are sturdy. It is not a glamorous job, but it is what we know how to do.
