Chhajed Trading Company

Chhajed Trading Company is right in the middle of everything over at 1358 Gadre Chambers on Bajirao Road. If you know Sadashiv Peth, you know how busy it gets around here. There is always a lot of noise from the street, with scooters buzzing by and people shouting. Our space inside the building is a bit old-fashioned. We have wooden cupboards and tall stacks of ledgers that we still use alongside the computer. It feels like a proper trading house. We deal with a lot of different goods, so there are always samples and boxes sitting on the floor. It can look a bit cluttered to someone walking in for the first time, but we know exactly where everything is. The morning starts with opening the heavy doors and sweeping the front. Then the deliveries start arriving, and it stays hectic until lunch. We usually take a break when the sun is highest, maybe getting something to eat from one of the local spots nearby. Bajirao Road has a lot of history, and we feel like we are a small part of that. We aren't interested in being the biggest company out there. We just want to do our trading, keep our customers happy, and make sure the bills are paid. It’s simple, honest work. By the time evening rolls around and the street lights come on, we are ready to lock up and head back to our families. It is a long day but it is good.
