If you are in Nigdi, specifically near Sector 24, you might have seen our sign. Chanakya Nidhi Limited is situated at B/8/2 in the Telco Employees Society. It is a well-known neighborhood in Pune, and we have been a part of it for a good while now. We mainly deal with thrift and savings for our members who live nearby. It is a practical setup we have going. We are not using big slogans or fancy television ads to get attention. Most of our work involves sitting down with people and going through their passbooks. Being in a society like Telco Employees means we have a lot of regular faces coming through the door every week. The 411044 area is home for us. We handle the money matters that help people get through their months or save up for something bigger later on. It is hard work keeping everything accurate and making sure we follow the rules for Nidhi companies. We do not have a huge staff, so when you come in, you usually see the same two or three people at the desks every time. We like it that way because it makes the whole thing feel more personal for everyone. We spend our days taking deposits and looking over loan requests. It is honest work and we do not promise anything we can't actually do. We just keep the records and help out where we can with the daily chores.
