Sai Knitwear

Out here on Chakrapani Road in Bhosari, things move pretty fast. We are located at Plot No. 40 in Sector 198, which is right in the middle of Radhakrushan Nagar. Sai Knitwear is basically just us working with machines and yarn most of the time. It gets a bit noisy when everything is running, but you get used to it. The floor is usually covered in little bits of thread, no matter how much we sweep up. It’s just the nature of working with clothes. We’ve been at this spot for a bit, and the neighborhood knows us as the place where the trucks pull in and out. Bhosari is an industrial kind of area, so we fit right in with the other workshops around here. It’s a lot of manual work, checking sizes and making sure the knitting looks right before anything goes out the door. We aren't trying to be some giant factory. We just have our space, our equipment, and our daily list of things to get through. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to take a break, but that's just how it is. We drink a lot of tea while we wait for the machines to start back up. It’s a simple operation, run by people who know how to handle a needle and thread. Not much more to it than that. We take our work seriously, even if the place looks a bit messy with all the scraps.
