We are situated right on the Nashik Pune Old Highway, which stays pretty noisy with all the trucks passing by. Being near the Ashirwad Gas Agency makes us easy to find if you’re heading through Chakan. This is Sahajanand Plywood Hardware and we have been here for a while now. It’s a straightforward shop. We stock various types of plywood and all the little hardware bits you might need for a house or a project. My staff and I spend most of the day moving heavy sheets around and helping people find the right size screws or hinges. It’s not glamorous work, but it’s what we do. Chakan is a growing place, so there is always some construction happening nearby. We get a mix of contractors and local folks who just want to fix a broken cabinet at home. I don't have a fancy website or a big office. Most of our business happens over the counter with a cup of tea. If the shop looks a bit messy, it’s because we just got a delivery in. We try to keep things organized, but when you deal with wood and metal, things get dusty fast. We just want to give people what they are looking for without making a big fuss about it. The highway can get backed up in the evenings, so we usually see a rush then. It’s a solid, local business run by people who live right here in the Tal Khed area. We just keep going.
