Megha Plywood

Megha Plywood is situated on Talegoan Road in the Chakan area, specifically in the Pande Layout in Wadi. It’s a place where you’ll always find a bit of sawdust in the air. The shop is filled with tall stacks of plywood and laminate sheets that reach almost to the ceiling. It makes the whole place smell like fresh wood and glue. We have a heavy cutting machine in the back that makes a lot of noise, so it can be hard to hear people talking when it’s running. The floor is concrete and usually covered in scraps of wood that we sweep up at the end of the day. We don’t have much in the way of an office, just a small counter where we keep the ledger and a telephone. Most of the work involves moving these heavy sheets around, which is hard on the back, but we’re used to it by now. The Pande Layout is a decent spot, though the traffic coming from Chakan can be a real headache in the evenings. We get a lot of local contractors and people from the neighborhood coming in to see what we have in stock. It’s a straightforward business. We open the shutters early, handle the deliveries, and help customers find the right thickness of wood for whatever they’re building. It’s honest work, and we’ve been doing it this way for quite a while now. We keep a few old fans running to try and blow the dust away, but it never really works perfectly.
