Over in Chakan, Pune, you’ll find our branch of Ceva Freight India Ltd. It’s a busy spot to be in, especially with all the manufacturing and warehouses all over this side of the city. We spend a lot of time dealing with the logistics of the area. Chakan has a lot of trucks coming and going at all hours, so there is never a dull moment. Our office isn't anything special to look at, just a place where we get the daily tasks done. We aren’t big on those corporate meetings that go on for hours. We prefer to just get on the phone and sort things out. Sometimes the Pune weather makes things interesting, especially during the monsoon when the roads get a bit tricky for the drivers. We just do our best to keep things moving on schedule. We have a small crew here and we’ve all been working together for a good while. We know each other’s habits and how the work flows. It’s a lot of checking manifests and making sure the loading bays are clear. We don’t put on any acts or try to be something we aren’t. We are just people working in freight. It can be a bit of a grind, but seeing the trucks pull out on time is a good feeling. We just take it one day at a time and try not to let the stress of the deadlines get to us too much.
