Working at Plot No. 4 in the International Biotech Park is a bit different than being in the middle of the city. Hinjewadi is out there in Phase-2, and the commute can be very long if you don't time it right with the traffic. Our building is part of the larger park area where many other companies are based. Inside, it is mostly labs and storage spaces for pharmaceutical work. We have to be careful about keeping everything clean, so there is a lot of hand washing and wearing the right gear every day. It is a quiet place for the most part, except for the hum of the machines in the background. We spend our days looking at samples and checking the records on the computers. There is a lot of science stuff going on, but to us, it’s just the daily routine we have followed for years. We have a small canteen area where we grab coffee and eat our lunch. The people here are mostly local or live nearby in the new apartments that have popped up lately. It is a growing area with a lot of construction still happening around the park. Sometimes we see birds or stray dogs near the entrance because it is still quite green outside the gates. We don't have a big reception area with a fancy receptionist. Usually, if someone comes for a meeting, one of us just goes down to the door to meet them. It is practical and saves everyone time. We just focus on the pharmaceutical side of things.
