Black Book

We’ve been here at Ashish Vihar on D.P Road for a while now. Kothrud gets pretty busy during the day, so there's always something going on outside the door. Most days it’s just us organizing the shelves or checking the new arrivals. The space isn't huge, but it fits what we need. Sometimes the rain makes the road a mess, but people still stop by anyway. We usually start the morning with some tea and try to get the books in order before the afternoon rush kicks in. It's mostly quiet work, which is nice. Most of the people around here know us by name now. It’s a good spot, right there near the main road but feels a bit tucked away in the building. We don't have a big team, just a couple of us making sure things run okay. Every now and then, we find a box of old stock we forgot about in the back. That’s always a bit of a surprise. We don't really do anything fancy here, just focus on what's in front of us. The lights sometimes flicker if the weather is bad, but that's just part of being in this old building. We spend a lot of time just talking to the regulars who live around the society. It’s a simple routine, day in and day out. It stays fairly calm most of the time, and we just keep the shop open until the sun goes down.
