We operate out of unit 106 in the New Timber Market. It’s a very specific kind of area to have an office. You can hear the sounds of the market all day long. There’s always wood being moved or people shouting instructions outside. Our place is simple. We don’t have a big sign or anything flashy. Just the number on the door and our desks inside. It feels very grounded being here. We deal with properties, so being in a market area makes sense in a strange way. It’s busy and there’s always something happening. The office is small but we fit everyone in. We don’t really follow a strict corporate schedule. We just come in and do what needs to be done. Sometimes we are out visiting sites, and other times we are stuck here filing things away. It gets a bit dusty because of all the timber nearby, but you get used to it. People who come to see us are usually surprised by how much is going on in this part of town. We’ve been here for a while and don’t see ourselves moving anytime soon. It’s a practical location for the kind of work we do. We focus on the details of the properties and try to keep everything organized despite the chaos of the market outside. It’s just a regular workday for us in unit 106. We usually grab lunch from the stalls nearby and get right back to the paperwork.
