Bioma Herbals

Our shop is located at 1143 in Shukrawar Peth. If you know Pune, you know this area is always moving. It is one of those old parts of the city where the lanes are narrow and there is always something going on. We deal with herbals here at Bioma Herbals. Most of the time, the place smells like dried leaves and roots. We spend the morning sorting through stock and getting things ready for people who stop by. It isn't a modern office with glass walls or anything. It is just an old building where we have worked for a long time. We have bags and jars piled up on the shelves. Sometimes we get busy with people asking questions about different plants and what they are used for. We just tell them what we know from our experience. It's practical work. We don't use a lot of fancy computers; mostly we just write things down in big ledgers and keep track of what goes in and out. The rain sometimes makes it hard to move things around the Peth, but we manage. My family has been around this area for ages, so we know the neighbors well. It’s a bit cluttered in the back room, but that’s just how it is when you handle so many different items. We stay open until late evening usually, just watching the street life while we finish up the day's tasks and sweep the floor before locking the heavy front door.
