We run our operations out of Anurag Apartments in Kothrud, Pune. It’s a regular residential building, and we are on the first floor in Flat No. 4. Being in Bhusari Colony means we are in a fairly quiet residential area, though the Kurtkoti Nursing Home nearby is a landmark everyone knows. Our office doesn't feel like a corporate headquarters. It feels like a home because it basically is one. We have desks set up where the dining table should be, and the walls are covered in architectural drawings and site maps. There’s always a bit of construction dust on the windowsills because we’re constantly coming and going from different building sites. We spend a lot of time talking to contractors and checking on materials like cement and steel. It’s a lot of coordination to make sure a building actually gets put up correctly. Sometimes we’re here late at night trying to finish a plan, drinking tea and arguing about where a wall should go. We don't have a receptionist or a lobby. If you come by, you just ring the bell and one of us will let you in. We prefer it this way because it’s practical and keeps us close to the projects we are working on in the Kothrud area. It’s just a group of us trying to build things that stand up and serve a purpose. We just take it one project at a time.
