Sterling Interior

At Sr. No. 28/29 in the Ahant Industrial Estate, things are usually a bit dusty. Sterling Interior is tucked away here in Bhosri, which is a good spot for making things. We have piles of wood offcuts in the corner and different kinds of laminate samples spread out everywhere. The Nashik Road traffic is something we hear all day, but you get used to it after a week. It is a large enough space at Ahant Industrial Estate, but we manage to fill it up pretty fast with whatever project is going on. We have some heavy saws and workbenches that have seen better days. The light comes in through the high windows and shows all the sawdust floating in the air. We spend most of our time measuring things and drawing lines on boards. Sometimes we have to move everything around just to fit a new load of materials. It is not a showroom. It is a place where we actually work. Bhosri is full of places like ours, so there is always someone nearby who can lend a hand or a tool if something breaks. We keep a big calendar on the wall with scribbles all over it. It is how we stay on track. The floor is covered in shavings by five o'clock. We clean it up and start again the next morning. There is always a new design to figure out or a piece of wood that needs cutting. We just stay focused on the work at hand.
