Standard Machine Tools

You can find us over in Bhosari, Pune, right at Plot No. Bg/sei/0/5 in the Midc area. We are located near the Philips India building and just across from Indoswe Engineering. Standard Machine Tools has been in this neighborhood for quite a while. It’s a busy industrial zone with a lot of trucks and workers moving around. Our shop isn't anything special to look at from the outside. Inside, it’s mostly lathes, grinders, and various metal-working tools. It gets noisy when everything is running at once. We don't have a marketing department or a fancy website. Most of our work comes from being here for so long and knowing the local trade. The guys on the floor have been doing this for years. They know the machines better than anyone. We drink a lot of tea and stay focused on the tasks at hand. Sometimes a customer comes in with a broken part that needs fixing fast, and we try to help out. It's not a perfect place, there’s always grease on the floor and metal shavings in the bins. But it’s a real workshop. We don't use flowery language. We just talk about measurements and steel grades. It’s a practical life. We work hard, lock up the gates in the evening, and come back the next day to do it again. It is a solid way to make a living in Pune. The routine keeps us all going fine.
