Simran Machine Tools

Simran Machine Tools is over in Bhosari as well, at Plot No. 24 in Sector No. 10. We are sitting right opposite the Vishweshwar Industrial Premises. It’s easy to find us once you get into the PCNTDA area. The workshop is full of heavy iron and steel tools. Everything here is heavy and usually covered in a thin layer of machine oil. It’s the kind of place where you have to watch your step so you don’t trip over a pipe or a tool box. We have a few lathes and milling machines that have been with us for a long time. They make a specific humming sound that we’ve all gotten used to. The floor is stained with dark patches where oil has spilled over the years. We use a lot of rags to keep our hands clean, but they always end up black by midday. It’s a tough environment, but the guys here are good at what they do. We don’t have a fancy showroom or anything like that. If you want to see what we have, you just come onto the floor and look. We usually have the radio playing in the background, though you can’t hear it much over the noise. The office is just a small wooden cabin built into the corner of the workshop. It’s where we keep the blue prints and the invoices. We don’t do anything special for marketing; we just rely on people.
