If you head down to MIDC in Bhosari, Pune, you’ll find us at Gala No. 9, number 758. Being in the industrial area means it’s always loud with the sounds of machines and trucks. It’s a dry, dusty part of town, but it’s where everything gets built. We spend our time working on whatever orders come in, mostly dealing with industrial parts. The shop floor is usually a bit of a mess with scraps and tools lying around, but we know where everything is. We start early to avoid the worst of the Pune heat. The gala is one of many in this row, and we all know each other. We usually have a radio playing in the background to keep the mood up while we work. There isn’t much in the way of decoration here, just functional shelves and the workbench. We do our own heavy lifting and packing. When the lunch bell goes off in the bigger factories nearby, we usually take our break too. It’s a simple routine that we’ve followed for years. Sometimes the power fluctuates and we have to stop the machines for a bit, which is just part of the deal in Bhosari. We don't spend money on fancy signs or anything like that. People find us because they know we are here every day doing the work. It’s a tough environment but we like the honesty of it. The tea from the stall outside is our main fuel.
