Akhilesh Dies & Moulds

Our workshop is at Plot No. 6 in Sector No. 10. This is in the Pcntda area of Bhosari, over in Pune. If you know Bhosari, you know it’s the heart of the industrial belt. There is a lot of metalwork and manufacturing happening all around us. Akhilesh Dies & Moulds fits right in. We’ve got our machinery set up on the plot and it runs pretty much all day. It’s noisy and there’s always the smell of oil and metal in the air. We don't mind it; it’s the smell of work. We’ve been here for years. The building isn't anything to write home about—it's just a sturdy place to house our tools. We spend a lot of time looking at blueprints and checking measurements. Precision is important, but we talk about it in a normal way, not like some corporate manual. The guys on the floor are locals. We’ve worked together for a long time. We take our tea breaks outside when the sun isn't too hot. Maharashtra’s weather can be tough in the summer, but we just keep the fans on and stay focused. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there. We just want to make sure the dies and moulds we produce are solid. It’s simple, hard work. Plot No. 6 has been our base for a long time and we like how things are going.
