Out here in S-Block of the MIDC area in Bhosari, things stay pretty loud. Bharat Automotive Pressings (India) Pvt. Ltd. is located right at W- 148149, and if you are looking for us, you just have to follow the sound of the heavy presses. It is a rhythmic kind of noise that you get used to after a few hours. The floor is concrete and scarred from years of moving heavy metal sheets around. We spend our time taking flat pieces of steel and turning them into something useful for cars and trucks. It is physical work. Your back might ache a bit by five o’clock, but there is a certain satisfaction in seeing a stack of finished pressings ready to go. The industrial estate is a maze of similar buildings, but we’ve made our spot here home. We have a small area where we keep our tools organized, though they never stay that way for long during a busy shift. The ventilation fans hum overhead to try and keep the heat down, though in the summer, it is a losing battle. We drink a lot of water and keep moving. We don't have a big reception desk or a lobby with plants. It’s just the workshop, the office where the paperwork gets piled up, and the loading bay. People here know their jobs and we don't need much supervision to get through the daily list. It’s a honest day's work in a gritty part of town.
