Bhatara Rural Development Foundation

We are located at Office Number 12 in the Laxmi Arcade building, which is on B. T. Kawade Road in the Ghorpadi area of Pune. Bhatara Rural Development Foundation is the name on our door. Ghorpadi is a pretty busy part of town, and the road outside is always full of traffic and people going about their day. Laxmi Arcade is a regular commercial building, nothing too fancy. We’ve been in this office for a good while now. It’s a small space, but it’s plenty for the few of us who work here. Even though we are based in the city, our work is mostly focused on rural areas, so we spend a lot of time on the phone or writing reports. We don't have a big corporate setup with meetings and presentations. We just sit at our desks and get through the list of things to do. The office has a couple of tables, some old chairs, and shelves full of files. It can get a little noisy with the buses passing by, but we don’t really mind it anymore. We aren't big on marketing ourselves or using fancy language. We just do the work as it comes. We know the other people who have shops and offices in the building, which makes it feel like a nice little community. It’s a simple, honest setup. We’re just here to do a job and help out where we can.
