Bharucha & Motivala Mercantiles

Bharucha & Motivala Mercantiles is located at 14, Boat Club Road. It’s a quieter part of the city compared to the main markets, which we actually prefer. Our office is in an older building that has a lot of character. We’ve been operating here for many years, so the walls have seen a lot. Inside, it’s mostly shelves full of ledgers, some old desks, and a couple of computers that have seen better days. We don't have a big, shiny lobby with a receptionist. When you walk in, you’ll probably just see one of us working at a desk or talking on the phone. It’s a very practical environment. We don't care for corporate fluff. We just handle the mercantile business as it comes. Sometimes it gets a bit quiet, especially in the afternoons, and we can hear the birds outside. We’ve built up long-term relationships with people over the years just by being honest and showing up every day. It’s not the kind of place that wins design awards, but it’s functional and it’s where we feel at home. We know the regulars who pass by Boat Club Road, and they know us. There’s a certain rhythm to the work here that we’ve grown to love. It’s just a small, local operation run by people who care about what they do without needing a lot of recognition for it. We keep our paperwork in order and just keep moving along. Most days are pretty much the same.
