Bharat Traders

Our shop, Bharat Traders, is located at 967/2 on Vasna Road, which is in the Raviwar Peth area. If you know Raviwar Peth, you know how crowded it gets. It’s one of the oldest parts of the city and the streets are narrow. We’ve been in this spot for years, dealing with the daily chaos of the market. Our space at 967/2 is packed to the ceiling with goods. There isn't much room to move around once the morning shipments arrive. We spend most of our time counting stock and dealing with customers who come in looking for specific items. It’s a traditional way of doing business. We don't use much technology besides a basic calculator and a notebook. Vasna Road is always loud with the sounds of carts and people bargaining. We have a small crew of guys who help with the heavy lifting. It’s physically demanding work, especially when the weather is hot. We take a break in the afternoon when the sun is at its peak, usually sitting on the steps with some tea. The neighborhood is full of other traders just like us. We all know each other. It’s a community built on years of being side-by-side. We don't have any grand plans to change things. We just want to keep the shop running and serve the people who have been coming to us for a long time. It’s a simple life but it keeps us busy.
